Graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2007, Ornella has set up her business at Cockpit Arts in Deptford with the Belhouse Foundation Award. Since then, Ornella has been collecting grants & awards thanks to her new work that was launched during the Jewellery Week 2008 and which attracted a lot of attention from the public as well as from the Press and Art Organisations. Her new collections -“Abyss” & “Nature’s Treasure” - also caught the eye of the UK Jewellery Awards jury who shortlisted her in 2 categories; as well as the Italian Jewellery Award jury who shortlisted her for the Young British Talent of the Year.
Her original and unusual pieces are all meticulously hand-carved and have a strong sculptural aspect. Ornella pays homage to Nature though her jewellery, combining natural elements such as minerals and vegetal with precious metals & stones, creating outstanding and very organic pieces.
