"Since I was a child I loved to play with my grandmothers old necklaces from the'30s. I remember spending summer holidays at the seaside collecting shells, seagull feathers, sea -washed bottles glasses, tiny natural turquoise, corals and quartzes and pyrites.

I wanted to keep carrying these island treasures with me at all times to hear and smell the sea and remember my summer adventures. So I started to reassemble my grandmother's necklaces incorporating my "treasures" creating unique pieces."

Utilizing her specialist knowledge of pearls from around the world Ombretta combines her found treasures with freshwater pearls and semiprecious stones handcrafting each piece of jewellery using original antique Japanese and Chinese restringing techniques.

Taking the'20s-'30s designs, Josephine Baker and pirates as its inspiration, the new collection uses dark colors and pink cocktail ostrich feathers. Necklaces are made with bone beads, freshwater pearls, semiprecious stones and they are hanging on a vintage lace of different colors. ESOTIC collections present necklaces, bracelets, ear rings, brooches and hatpins.

The collections "Lady-Pirate" and "Lady-Coral" embrace multiethnic influences creating modern jewellery with a very feminine vibe. They are colorful and edgy collections that conjure up images of a mysterious tropical island.

"Lady-Treasure" has skulls with crystals eyes and silver teeth hang from a long pink coral necklace closed by two green tusk sea shells that cross each others like swords.

"Lady-Monoi" has skulls with a coral rose and a semiprecious stone leaf that are hanging from a delicate pink gold plated chain.
