Inspired by sentimental jewellery of the Victorian and Georgian eras, Amy enjoys using the photographed characters from vintage postcards, circa 1920’s and 30’s, to hand make pieces of jewellery with a nostalgic narrative. Sometimes setting the images and writing behind stones and glass to include them as precious elements, and sometimes using photo-etching to create the suggestion of a contemporary cameo.
Amy designs her jewellery to try to reflect the romantic sentiment with which the postcards were originally sent.
