In November a group of six London designers showed their jewellery at Kara, a consumer facing fine jewellery show held in the Bourse du Commerce off the Rue du Louvre, in the heart of Paris. The event is often described as the parisian version of Goldsmiths Fair and this was the first time an organised group of British designers had attended. The group, which included Alan Vallis, Daisy Choi, Ana de Costa, Jacqueline Cullen, Josef Koppmann and Rebecca Steiner, were supported by LJE Project Manager Lindsey Straughton, and LJE adviser Aldyth Crowther. Interpreters were on hand to help the designers promote their jewellery to discerning French buyers. All of the designers sold pieces and made valuable trade contacts.
